How ProScope works

For customers

1. Request quotes

Choose a service, answer a few questions about the job, including the date and the time the work should start, and add photos if they help. We send a one-time code to your email to confirm it is you. You agree to our Privacy Policy before you submit.

2. Approved businesses quote

Businesses that cover your area see a summary of the job, such as its size, date and suburb. They never see your name, phone number, email or exact address. Up to four businesses can quote on each request.

3. Compare and chat

Your quotes appear side by side in your dashboard. You can message each business in ProScope. Until you book, phone numbers, email addresses and links are hidden in messages to protect both sides.

4. Accept a quote and pay the deposit

When you accept a quote you see the total price, the deposit you pay now, the balance, when it is due and the exact cancellation cutoff. You accept our Terms and our Deposits, Cancellations and Refunds Policy, then pay the 30% deposit through Payfast.

5. Your booking is confirmed

Once Payfast confirms your deposit, the business receives your contact details to arrange the job, and the other quotes are closed.

6. Pay the balance before the work starts

Pay the remaining balance through ProScope from your booking page before the work starts. Please do not pay the business directly.

7. If plans change

You can cancel from your booking page. Cancelling before the cutoff (48 hours before the job starts) carries a cancellation charge of 30% of the deposit, and the rest is refunded; after the cutoff the deposit is not refundable. If the business cancels or does not arrive, everything you paid for the job is refunded. Any Payfast refund fee is deducted from a refund. 8. After the job

You and the business each confirm the job is done, and you can leave a review. If something went wrong, use Report a problem on your booking and we follow our Complaints and Disputes process.

For businesses

  1. Join for free, add your company details and documents, and choose the services and areas you cover.
  2. Our team reviews your application.
  3. Once approved, you receive job requests in your areas and can send quotes.
  4. When a customer books you and pays the deposit, you receive their contact details. The customer pays the balance through ProScope before the work starts.
  5. When you and the customer have both confirmed the job is done, you are paid as set out in the Terms for Businesses.
